How to make Pineapple juice

The following process should guide you on how to juice a pineapple fruit in a juicer:

  • Choose a pineapple fruit that has an intact consistent rind.
  • Clean the pineapple using cold running water. If you must use soap then consider using soaps that are recommended for cleaning vegetables and fruits. After washing the fruit thoroughly dry with a paper towel or clean cloth.
  • Place the pineapple fruit on its side on a cutting board and cut the top plus the bottom off leaving both ends flat.
  • Place the pineapple upright on either end then slice off the rind by cutting down the sides. The cuts should be from top towards the bottom. Ensure you remove the rind with every slice down the sides. Some bits of rind might remain but this should not worry you. A potato peeler can come in handy if you need to dig out some rind patches that are hard to remove using the down slicing motion of the knife.

  • Slice the pineapple down the middle while it is still upright and proceed to cut the pieces lengthwise in order to have four long pieces. Put the pieces side by side and cut into 1/4 pieces or more depending on your juicer. The core is part of the fruit so there is no need to remove it, however you can cut it off from individual pieces.
  • Place the pieces into the juicer and turn it on to create fresh juice. You are likely to have a decent amount of pineapple juice especially if the fruit was ripe enough. Turn off the machine once the collecting cup is full. Next get the swizzle stick and give the fresh juice a couple of hearty stirs. Some people prefer to add a teaspoonful of honey or sugar to sweeten the beverage or reduce the sour taste due to its acidic properties.
